I love to travel. I think it's good and healthy for you and those around you. I like being home, but I love being far away from it too. I love to see new things, and experience other cultures - sometimes only subtly different to my default, but never not fascinating.

It doesn't have to be deep, either. I love to browse supermarket aisles in other countries and in other languages. Just to see those big or little differences to home. A type of baked good I've never seen before? I want it.

If I don't have travel to look forward to, I get antsy and I burn out. Stepping off a plane and knowing that I'm thousands of miles away is somehow restorative and regenerative to me. As I get older, my need to get out there is only getting stronger.

This page is a companion piece to my onebag shrine and gives a bit of an insight into how I like to do it.
